Club Activities
Target Shooting and Practice
The club has a 60-yard outdoor range. Currently the outdoor range has Pin Shoots are generally held on the third Saturday of the Month, weather permitting. Regularly scheduled shooting activities that utilize the range take precedence over range use.
Firearm Safety and Training
The next Firearms Safety Class is scheduled for Saturday March 28th at 8:00 AM This is the class required by the Massachusetts State Police for first time applicants who wish to obtain a License to Carry (LTC) a handgun or a Firearms Identification Card (FID).for more information call 978-687-9504 or send email to Classes@LRGC1947.org
Hunting and Fishing Advocacy
Promote all legitimate sports with rod and gun and to enforce the laws for the protection and propagation of fish and game within the State of Massachusetts
Trap
Trap Range Trap is shot Friday at 9:00 AM, Saturday at Noon, and Sunday at 10:00 AM. Indoor Pistol Range The club has a 7 station 50 foot indoor pistol range. The hours of operation are 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM seven days a week. Currently there are no regularly scheduled organized shooting activities that use the range. Indoor Range rules here.

Pin Shoots
Pin Shoots are generally held on the third Saturday of the month at 10:00 am weather permitting. Always check the website or newsletter as schedules may change. Bowling pins are shot off tables at a distance of 50 feet. It is a lot of fun. Pin shoots will be back in the spring.

Archery
The Archery Range is currently open. Stationary targets are available in 20, 30, 40, and 50 yard increments. On the far left is a 50 yard broadhead target. The 3-D range is closed for the winter.

How Membership Works
Membership at Lawrence Rod & Gun Club is open to all United States citizens. Applications are accepted in person at our general meetings, which are held on the first and third Monday of each month at 7:00 PM. New member candidates should arrive by 6:30 PM with a completed application and required documents.
Senior memberships (age 18+) are $100 per year, with a one-time $50 initiation fee and a refundable $40 work assessment fee. Junior memberships (under 18) are $25 per year.
To apply, print and complete the Membership Application and bring it with you to the next general meeting.
60-Yard Outdoor Range
Our club features a 60-yard outdoor range used for organized shooting activities and events throughout the year. The range currently hosts Pin Shoots, weather permitting Please note that regularly scheduled club activities take precedence over general range use.
ARCHERY RANGE
Our archery range is currently open with stationary targets set at 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards, including a 50-yard broadhead target. The 3-D range is closed for the winter.

Founded to support responsible outdoor recreation, the Lawrence Rod & Gun Club is dedicated to promoting all legitimate rod and gun sports while supporting the protection and conservation of fish and game within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. We are a member-driven organization focused on safety, education, sportsmanship, and community.
The club is governed by elected officers and a board of directors who oversee operations, facilities, and programs. Through the work of our volunteers and committee leaders, we offer shooting sports, training, and events that serve members of all experience levels while upholding the highest standards of safety and responsibility.
